While it's a lot easier to go out for coffee with someone when you're both on the same campus, you do get some social life when you do an online college degree. In a well-designed online class, professors will make sure everyone in the class responds to discussion questions, so you'll get the benefit of all the viewpoints. And you can IM or e-mail people to socialize after hours. Not to mention facebook. Some schools also offer a virtual college campus experience to make socializing easier.

It's important to note that if you want your online degree to carry any weight with employers, you need to attend a regionally accredited online university. You can check with the US Department of Education's website to find out if an online college has this accreditation.

Also, schools with regional accreditation can usually offer more financial aid options. Colorado Technical University online has some good financial aid tools for online college degree students.

That is for sure, you need to have good internet connectivity to access the material provided in online mode of education. Likewise, it’s all the more important to decide the right degree program by looking at its pros and cons. You need to surf one stop platform that can solve all your doubts:

It is a site where you can get quick info about any degree and its respective university.

I recently read an article with a breakdown of how to get a bachelor's degree through exams. I think it was 21 exams and about $5000 for a bachelor degree. The article was here:

Gaining an online marketing degree is a big advantage and even have more opportunities in the online marketing business since you can learn more things here that you can't manage to learn on your own because you are busy. That's why it has been offered to cater to those busy professionals who want to become more knowledgeable in this field.I find it very convenient because you don't have to meet the instructor personally which could help in performing your other business responsibilities. The training online is also effective and this would be your edge to other businessmen online. You can be more competitive here and can even join to various marketing firms.

thanks for posting this informative article.

I don't have all the answers, but I do have this one on disaster preparedness/recovery:

A letter pertaining to disaster (hurricane, earthquake, tornado, flood, fire, etc.) has been sent to President Obama on behalf of all insurance policyholders. As a matter of transparency on the record of insurance consumer protection, any response by President Obama will be posted on the following Website for review: www.disasterprepared.net/president.html

Qui potest et debet vetare, jubet: (Law Maxim)
HE WHO CAN AND OUGHT TO FORBID A THING [IF HE DO NOT FORBID IT] DIRECTS IT

I fully agree with all the positive benefits of learning online - there are many solid reasons why someone who want to continue their studies, while also earning and supporting the family and their life styles.

However, there are still lots of reasons why you might not be able to complete a course using online learning, this to needs to be mentioned.

What at the disadvantages of attending a Distance Learning Online High School?

1) No social activities: You may miss the social side of being in school. The fun day to day gossip at lunch, the joint experiences a class has while learning together and going on field trips with your friends.

2) Less support: Some subjects are hard to explain online, such as trigonometry or the finer details of creative writing. It can be hard to understand a topic if there isno teacher standing right behind you, gently guiding you along and giving you different examples until the concept really 'clicks' for you.

3) Lack of motivation: Without a specific deadline and the accompanying consequences such as detention or other forms of punishment, some students find it difficult to keep their studied on track and completed in a short time frame.

4) Loneliness: If you spend a lot of time on your own, you may well miss having friends to support and help you along, especially during low points in the study. You could feel alone and isolated.

5) Lack of accreditation: If you complete a diploma with an unaccredited a Distance Learning Online High School, you could be wasting your time. Unaccredited diploma courses may not be accepted by universities, colleges or employers - you could have to repeat the whole process again with an accredited school to pass.

6) Cost: Most online schools are very expensive. Do not look at online high schools as a cheap or free alternative to state schools. Only Charter online schools can offer low cost or cheap online education.
