Graduation Gift Cost

Organizing a group graduation gift is sometimes a complicated endeavor, especially if you are collecting funds from multiple people. Keep in mind that managing the cost of such a group gift is paramount to making sure that all who contribute feel appreciated and accepted. The first thing to do is to determine what kind of gift you are all going to purchase for your friend’s graduation, and then to determine the overall cost.

It is not a good idea to just choose a gift and then let everyone gift any amount that they desire. It is also not a good idea to just list the cost, and to force people to give a certain amount. Instead, think about what the graduate really needs. Do they need a vacation? A day away? A gift certificate for car repairs or household goods? A nice respite at a local spa? A new wardrobe for their new job or internship? Then, once you determine what they need, take a guess as to how much it will cost to get them the graduation present they will most appreciate.
